Zoom just added new reactions for Android users. Aside from that, Zoom also unveils its improved chat support.
With Zoom being in demand in these challenging times, it is rolling out additional support and features to cater its users better. Its notable change this week is the additional meeting reactions like the laugh, heart, hushed, and party emojis. It previously only supported the thumbs up and clap. Admins of a channel or group chat can also add members by choosing a channel that already exists and inviting its members. They can manage who can send messages by choosing admin only, everyone, or admin and select users. As for the users, they can control what notifications they can receive through the ability of muting specific channels.
Another new prominent feature is the dark mode support which could be good for users with low vision and sensitivity to brightness. The improved chat UI also gives a person the ability to swipe away in-meeting chat messages or even mute in-meeting chat.
Zoom for PC
For Zoom users that prefer a more lively meeting, there are additional features to use like using slides as the virtual background, making use of stickers, adding filters, and adding video smoothness by touching up appearance, and even adjust the lighting based on your preference. For busy people with loud background noise in their homes, they can go to the audio settings and suppress background noise, letting meeting attendants focus on your voice and reduce distraction.
Zoom is currently offering improved services in many parts of the world, but in China, it can only be accessed via Zoom’s third-party partners. Zoom will not sell its services directly to its Chinese-based users starting August 23. The partners that Zoom has suggested are Bizconf Communications, Suirui Zhumu Video Conference, and Systec Umeet.
