After the success of the first two installments, Netflix’s The Kissing Booth 3 is expected to debut in 2021. The third film was filmed in secret, back to back with the second movie, making fans look forward to the future of the lead characters.
Netflix just gave fans the best news by announcing the teen romance film’s third installment and yes, the entire cast will reprise their roles. Even though critics did not have such good opinions on the first film, it became one of Netflix’s most re-watched original movies.
Together with the announcement via a live stream event, the trailer for The Kissing Booth 3 was released on YouTube and the actors’ social media accounts.
The Kissing Booth 2 was released on July 24 and has received better reviews than its predecessor. It follows the story of Elle Evans (Joey King), her best friend Lee Flynn (Joel Courtney), and her boyfriend who happens to be her best friend’s brother, Noah Flynn (Jacob Elordi). One of the things the movie tackles is the long-distance relationship between Elordi and King’s characters along with the introduction of new characters like Chloe Winthrop (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) and Marco Peña (Taylor Perez).
With the epidemic still going on, Netflix reported a massive surge in users yet the company’s stock dropped at almost 9%, missing analyst expectations on earnings per share.
The company recently announced that it will promote Ted Sarandos (Netflix’s Chief Content Officer) to co-CEO alongside current CEO, Reed Hastings.
