As Artificial Intelligence rapidly immense in today’s time, many companies are trying to make the most out of these technological advances.
Our world is already digitalized wherein most of the people have their own smartphones, laptops, television, and many other digital commodities. Still, people are thriving for more of these digital advances, especially with smartphones. That’s why companies are also eager to create and innovate more of this artificial intelligence.
A compiled data from CB Insights have stated that between 2010 and 2019, a total of 635 Artificial Intelligence was acquired by different companies. And, the most prominent buyers were Google, Amazon, Microsoft, and Apple.
The company of Apple has been the most eager among any other companies to strive for more AI startups. Since 2010, the company has acquired over 20 AI’s. Apple is known for its smart assistant and speaker Siri that is available in most of Apple’s devices.
Other giant companies did not just sit back and watch apple buy sort of AI’s. Google, on the other hand, is up for the competition, which acquired 14 artificial intelligence for their platforms. Through the acquisition of companies such as Api.ai and Superpod, Google Assistant has improved.
However, Apple failed to keep its top rank in terms of dominating the market despite its large number of startup acquisitions.
In accordance with the ranking made by Voice Platform Impact Ranking, Apple’s Siri is ranked third. While Amazon’s Alexa is the first in rank and followed by Google.
But, everything is still subjected to change as Apple continues to pursue more startup acquisitions this year.
