The Republican president on his Tuesday interview with Fox news anchor, Laura Ingram, initiated that before the much-awaited Presidential debate, both of them should take a drug test. Trump said, “I want to take one. I’ll take one, he’ll take one. We should both take a drug test.” Trump, with the lack of evidence to back up his claims, attacked Biden of taking “some kind of an enhancement” based on the latter’s debate performances. The idea of drug testing prompted when he observed Joe Biden’s debate performances improved enunciating that the change on the former Vice President could have been the effect of the performance enhancement drugs, Donald Trump told Fox News.
Trump revealed how “horrible” Biden was during the previous Democratic debates except for that one against Sen. Sanders, “I watched Biden in the Bernie debate, and he was normal. That was a different guy,” Trump said. Biden had been present in 11 primary debates mostly dominated by a crowd of his opponent.
The call for a drug test before a debate was an old scheme used by Trump, as he demanded the same plan against then 2016 Democratic Presidential opponent, Hillary Clinton. The Trump campaign has spent recent months asserting that Biden has declined mentally, sharing edited clips that show him stumbling over his words, said by The Hill.
The first debate between the two candidates, according to New York Post, is scheduled for Sept. 29 in Cleveland, followed by an Oct. 15 debate in Miami and an Oct. 22 debate in Nashville, Tennessee.
