The advertisement which was released Monday features the Democratic candidate’s colorful political timeline and highlights the former Vice President’s character.
Lincoln Project, an anti-Trump group, captures the audience with their 3-minute presentation covering the life and tragedies that make Joe Biden the man of character he is today. The video which was entitled Dad focuses on Biden’s story of love and defeat, as it gives the audience a glimpse of his past that molded him.
Aside from being a staunch defender and ally of democracy and faith in American people, Joe had a fair share of pain, when at the age of 30, he lost his wife Neilia Hunter and 15-month-old daughter Naomi in a fatal car accident that led him to raise, as a single father, his two other sons Beau and Hunter. Joe found love again and married his current wife, Jill, and the union was blessed with a daughter Ashley. Another painful loss Joe endured was the passing of his adult son, Beau in 2015 because of brain cancer.
The ad emphasizes that when Joe makes a commitment he always sees it through. With all the gains and losses he faced in life, it shaped him to become a compassionate individual, and these experiences defined his brand of public service for he knows a part of the pain American families experience. The Lincoln project, which tagged itself as dedicated Americans protecting Democracy, concluded the advertisement with words - Americans' will choose between two types of men this November. It’s a choice to vote for a man of character or a man without one.
