It was the first week of August, and Apple has added watchOS 7 to its beta releases, which include the upcoming updates for iOS, macOS, iPadOS, and tvOs. Beta update for Apple smartwatches is the latest since it will allow users to test the update before its final launch.
WatchOS 7 updated its feature with the much-awaited sleep tracking function that will allow users to track the hours they're asleep. The update also includes an upgraded Fitness app, which now supports dancing and washing hands movement. In addition to the features of watchOS 7 are the watchfaces and cycling directions functions.
The update is somewhat related to the research study of Apple in partnership with UCLA to include technologies such as smartphones and watches in detecting and diagnosing depression. The sleep app, heart rate tracker, fitness app, and other features in the smartwatches and iPhones of Apple will be utilized to record data for the study.
The beta updates of Apple have a promising future for users, but new software for Apple smartwatches will not be applicable for older Series such as 1 and 2. WatchOS 7, will only be available on Series 3 and recent smartwatches. If you have the newer Apple watch, then you can install the beta software by acquiring the iOS 14 beta update on your iPhone.
The iOS 14 is reported to bring lots of exciting features, but the beta update could be a little risky to install on your iPhone. Since it is still in work progress, there will be bug issues. The noticeable bugs during the beta phase are several crashing when there’s an incoming call, and several apps also crashed more often.
However, the changes after the final release of iOS 14 could be quite remarkable. If you’re willing to try out the new beta update, you’ll be able to experience the changes in widgets and the home screen interface. The messy apps will also be categorized automatically with the App Library feature. Moreover, iOS 14 will be integrating Memoji and group messages in Messages.
