Do you have your own Cybertruck? Tired of just having it in plain old silver? Ever imagined having it in other colors – say blue, red, or even yellow? Even before it officially hit the road, several designers all over the web have shared their unique take on the Cybertruck. Well, you can let your creative juices flow and run wild, along with these creators as Tesla CEO Elon Musk shared to the public possible color iterations on the car.
Late last week, the tech mogul shared with his Twitter followers that wrapping the car’s exposed steel body in an array of colors is impossible.
Pretty pretty please Elon? Is white oxide a thing? pic.twitter.com/BG1rwjnQ9x— Ghost of Tesla Phx (@Ghost_TeslaPhx) July 21, 2020
However, Musk also shared in another tweet that the Cybertruck’s metal exterior color can be tweaked using heated colors. This can be done by employing varying temperatures that alter the chemical coloring of the metal. This can result in a spectrum of colors imaginable – from blue to red to even yellow.
Some types of steel change color when tempered, does that apply to cold-rolled stainless too? Would look pretty sick/unique if Cybertruck could be torched using not-a-flamethrower ... pic.twitter.com/IT5PqxqCif— Viv 🐉 (@flcnhvy) July 26, 2020
It is unclear whether these color choice options will be offered in house or can be done by your trusted auto parts and modifications shop. Formerly, Musk was mum regarding questions of color personalization but his tweets recently were very telling.
Tesla’s Cybertruck model is expected to hit the market in late 2021.
