The Audi E-tron made the list of Digital Trends’ best selling electric cars of 2020. It has made its mark on luxury cars, and is now making its way to join the big leagues in the electric car game. It even made its way into the big screen, driven by Robert Downey Jr.’s character Tony Stark in one of the Marvel movies.
Power and convenience
Audi has stepped up their game in their first fully electric-powered automobile. The E-tron makes use of two electric motors that go from zero to 100km/hr, almost likened to that of a standard sports car. Apart from the daily travels, it can also handle off-road driving. In terms of charging, Audi has devised several home charging options. Consumers can opt for the 230 volt outlet or 400 volt three-phase outlet, without worrying about a massive electric bill with its smart charging feature, giving it the ability to choose an optimal charging time where your consumption isn’t at its peak. It also utilizes solar energy if the house is equipped with it.
The new myAudi app allows you to operate all these functions and more from the comfort of your own smartphone. It encloses all access to the vehicle and all information about it, providing the user with real-time updates. It can also be used to set up navigation before a trip. Basically, it offers all access to your vehicle information, features, and control from your device.
E-tron S model
For this year, Audi revealed an upgraded version of the E-tron- the S model - uses three electric motors, with a 496 horsepower. This will bring an acceleration of up to 60mph in under 4.5 seconds, and can go as fast as 130mph at most. Audi employs the "innovative aerodynamics" concept in the new models. Quattro system encompasses a better handling mechanism via an improved torque vectoring.
Audi maintains a fully electric car experience while giving justice to its luxury feel.
