The 43-year-old star of the “Selling Sunset”, Amanza Smith, suffered from a third-degree burn and stayed in the hospital for two weeks. She got the injury from while cooking churros together with Noah, her daughter.
Amanza Smith is a single mom of two children, Noah Layne Brown and Braker Davis Brown. She is not only a television star but also the CEO of Amanza LLC as well as The Oppenheim Group’s interior design specialist and realtor associate.
The multi-talented mom shared her experience of getting her burn over making churros with her daughter. In her interview with Page Six, she jokingly said that her “right arm looks like a mummy”.
She also explained how things happened, starting from the explosion of hot grease out of the pan op to getting most of the oil on her hand, wrist, and her arm.
The scene was crazy like “something out of an alien movie,” she said. Afterwhich, sharing how she went to the burn unit at USC and telling describing how “crazy, painful procedure” she underwent that made her stay in bed for a week.
“I had two kids and honestly, it was the most painful thing what they have to do when you have a burn. It’s the most painful thing I’ve ever felt in my entire life,” the actress added.
The treatment procedure had her hate churros as she shared that the doctors keep on asking her about the churros to keep her distracted from the pain. However, the mention of churros made her swear to “never want to see another churro again.”
The CEO told Page Six that she is now healing and feeling a lot better, although she jokingly said that she needs to find a new favorite dessert.
