Do you love coffee? Then, this coffee recipe is for you.
Who would not want an ice cream that has coffee in it, right? But since going to grocery stores are a bit harmful because of the spreading coronavirus disease, it is safer and more fun to make your own coffee ice cream. Are you excited for your very own refreshing coffee ice cream?
Let’s get started.
What you need:
Before you start, you need to prepare the ingredients. First is prepare an egg, 120 milligrams of milk, and whipping cream to make it creamy, of course. Next is 0.5 teas spoon of vanilla extract, this can help your ice cream smells good and tasty.
Then, 60 ml of sugar, of course, you would want your ice cream to be sweet. And the ultimate ingredient that you must not forget is the roasted coffee beans of 80 ml. You can always adjust the number of ingredients depending on how much ice cream you want.
How to Make:
- Step 1
Get your loving coffee beans, and you can either grind them or crush them. After crushing/grinding the coffee beans, put it into a jar together with the cream. Stir them together nicely. Then, make sure to cover the container with its lid, then let it cool in the fridge for 20-24 hours.
- Step 2
After 24 hours of waiting, get the mixture out of the fridge and strain it. Then, put it aside first and proceed to the next step.
- Step 3
Get a saucepan and put in on medium heat. Here, you will be needing the milk, simmer it, but don’t let it boil. After simmering the milk, put it aside.
- Step 4
On this next step, you will need your whisking power. Whisk the egg together with the sugar and whisk it continuously. If you don’t want to get tired, use electric whisker. We’ll not judge. Then, while whisking, you can slowly pour the hot milk on the mixture, and you’re ready for the next step.
- Step 5
After you’ve mixed the egg, sugar, and milk, you can now pour it on the saucepan. Then, for about 5-10 minutes on medium heat, you have to cook it and stir constantly. You can stop stirring when the mixture thickens, then put the vanilla extract.
- Step 6
Yey! You’re down to the last step. Once the mixture has cool down, mix it, together with the coffee-cream mixture awhile ago. After mixing, nope, you can’t eat it yet. You have to put the mixture first in the fridge again for 5 hours or more if you want to achieve the perfect creaminess. And finally, you can dig your coffee ice cream. Yum!
